State-certified social assistants are graduates of an initial training program in the social services sector and work as assistants to the respective professionals. They possess basic skills that enable them to provide support in nursing and social pedagogical fields                                                                                                   

Social assistants help their clients in health and social services facilities as well as in families and single-person households. In doing so, they support the respective specialists at these facilities and can independently carry out the daily tasks assigned to them. They perform nursing, social pedagogical, and domestic services.

Social assistants work closely with the responsible professionals and actively participate in the joint resolution of tasks as a team. They contribute to the creation of living spaces that promote development, as well as to the functional and aesthetic design of the facilities. They support collaboration with the clients’ families.
