The modern professional demands are reflected in the diversity of vocational training pathways. The first step after graduating from secondary school is the Basic Vocational Training Year (BGJ).

The BGJ is a 1-year full-time program. The training corresponds to the introductory level of vocational training—that is, generally the first year of training in a profession.

The Basic Vocational Training Year is offered in various occupational fields &/p>

Through internships at training companies you gain insights into the reality of everyday professional life, and the company gets to know you better. This increases your chances of being&n/strong> hired for an apprenticeship. 

Upon successful completion of the BGJ, the training company can credit this time, and you can start your training with the 2nd year of training or shorten your training period by 6 months.

Example:
If you successfully complete a BGJ with us in the field of personal care, you can then enter the 2nd year of training to become a cosmetologist at our cosmetology school following this year.
