The BGJ is a 1-year full-time program. The training corresponds to the introductory level of vocational training—that is, generally the first year of training in a profession.

The Basic Vocational Training Year is offered in various occupational fields &/p>

Through internships at training companies you gain insights into the reality of everyday professional life, and the company gets to know you better. This increases your chances of being&n/strong> hired for an apprenticeship. 

Upon successful completion of the BGJ, the training company can count this time toward your program, allowing you to start your training in the 2nd year or shorten your training period by 6 months.
