Through a generalist training program, trainees gain a comprehensive understanding of nursing, enabling them to quickly familiarize themselves with the respective specialties and their varying requirements. Registered nurses will be able to work in all areas of nursing—acute care, pediatric nursing, inpatient or outpatient long-term care, as well as general, geriatric, pediatric, or adolescent psychiatric care.

The pediatric nurse is responsible for the care of children and adolescents.

The geriatric nurse is responsible for the care of elderly people in acute and long-term inpatient as well as outpatient care settings.

The training covers health-promoting, preventive, curative, rehabilitative, palliative, and social care dimensions of nursing practice aimed at maintaining, promoting, restoring, or improving the physical and mental well-being of those receiving care. In addition, the program includes counseling, support throughout all stages of life, and end-of-life care.

The achievement of educational and training objectives is focused on the acquisition of professional competencies. These competencies encompass technical, personal, and social skills, as well as methodological, learning, and communication skills.
